ISO 14054 Natural Capital Accounting for Organisations: Purpose, Content, Process and Public Consultation

ISO 14054 Natural Capital Accounting for Organisations: Purpose, Content, Process and Public Consultation

There is a growing need for standardized approaches, metrics and analyses to assess and value natural capital, to create an inclusive process, to communicate the process and the results, and to allow an audit/assurance of them. The intention for ISO 14054 is to respond to this need: providing a global standard framework for natural capital accounting in organisations.

A working group of experts was established to develop this standard and the base draft was taken from BS 8632:2021 'Natural Capital Accounting for Organizations Specification' which will be adjusted to reflect developments since its publication and capture the increasing auditing/assurance demands.

The standard is now completed in draft form and will be open to consultation. In this webinar, we will be joined by key figures in the ISO Working group and from BSI to update you on the standard and the process of providing input to the consultation.

Speakers:

Ece Ozdemiroglu: Convenor of the Working Group for ISO 14054 & CEO, eftec

Dr Stephanie Hime: Project Lead for ISO 14054 & CEO, Little Blue Research

Vanessa McCorqdale: Lead Standards Development Manager, BSI
