Transport & Environment letter to Chancellor to include shipping in UK ETS

Transport & Environment, an NGO, reached out to us to share their open letter to the Chancellor which called on her to include the shipping industry in the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS). It didn't make it into the budget this time around, however they will be picking up the campaign in the spring. If you're interested in speaking with them or putting your signature on a future letter for the spring budget, reach out to jon.hood@transportenvironment.org

What Trump Means for Climate Action

If you're searching for clarity following the US election results yesterday, we recommend two events.

The first is our own webinar, from yesterday, reflecting on the progress of the Labour government. While it focuses on the UK, our panel offered insights and optimism in the face of challenges from the US. The recording  is now available to UKNEE members.

The second is this upcoming event, tomorrow, Friday 8 Nov, from Carbon Brief, where an internationally focussed expert panel will give their insights: click here for more and to register.
